Tarbert Harbour is a beautiful natural harbour surrounded by low lying hills. The mouth of the harbour is controlled by a small island known as 'Eileen a Choic' or Cock Island to the West of which lies another small island called 'Sgeir Bhuide'. The harbour is arranged into two parts: (1) Pier on the South side is active for ferries and fishing boats, (2) the West and North sides are areas for pontoons and anchoring of boats.
